On Friday, we celebrated Caden Dolby as he wrapped up his summer internship with Graystoke Capital Partners and Fortified Property Solutions.
Caden joined our team with a positive attitude, natural curiosity, and a willingness to take on anything that came his way. Throughout the summer, he became one of our go-to team members for projects involving systems, data, operations, marketing, and everything in between.
Meet Caden
Caden is originally from Boise, Idaho, and currently attends the University of Idaho, where he studies Business Economics.
Outside of school and work, Caden enjoys golfing and spending time with his friends. His favorite part of summer in Boise is the weather and the opportunity to spend more time on the golf course.
His favorite local spot is Quail Hollow Golf Course, where he has played with his dad since he was little.
When asked what he hoped to learn during his internship, Caden shared:
“I’m excited to learn how a business such as Graystoke is run and learn skills that will help me in my future career.”
He certainly did exactly that.
Our Can-Do Guy
Caden quickly became known as our “can-do guy.” He never hesitated to jump into a new assignment, dig into a system, or learn more about how different areas of the company work together.
Throughout the summer, Caden:
- Dug into our systems and learned how they function behind the scenes
- Analyzed operational and marketing data
- Created presentations featuring call statistics and performance insights
- Assisted with property signage projects
- Coordinated furniture projects for our communities
- Built furniture
- Supported social media and marketing initiatives
- Helped review prospect interactions and leasing processes
- Assisted with special projects for both corporate and onsite teams
Caden approached every assignment with a positive attitude and a genuine desire to understand the purpose behind the work. He was quick to respond, willing to ask questions, and always interested in learning more.
Whether he was analyzing call data, reviewing a prospect’s experience, helping coordinate new furniture for a community, or working on a marketing project, Caden brought the same level of enthusiasm and professionalism.
The Importance of Attention to Detail
One of Caden’s biggest takeaways from the summer was the impact attention to detail can have across every area of a business.
“One thing I’ve learned so far during my internship is that attention to detail has a big impact. Small mistakes can cause issues with client relations, finances, and projects. I will carry that with me throughout the school year and my future.”
Throughout his internship, Caden saw firsthand how details influence financial reporting, property operations, marketing, resident communication, client relationships, and the overall prospect experience.
His willingness to dig deeper and understand how systems work gave him valuable experience that he can carry into the next school year and his future career.
From the Graystoke and Fortified Team
“Caden Dolby has been such a great asset to our team this summer. I have loved seeing how much he genuinely cares about understanding how our systems work, from the way prospects interact with our communities to coordinating new furniture for one of our properties.
Caden has never said no to a task, whether it was small or large. He worked hard, remained diligent, and brought a positive attitude to everything he was asked to do.
Caden has so much confidence and charisma, but he is also a genuinely kind person. He has a great sense of humor, a wonderful demeanor, and a natural ability to connect with people. He is personable, friendly, and always willing to learn.
Caden is going to go far in life, and I cannot wait to see what he does next!”

Every day in the office, he brought a great attitude, a sense of humor, and so much charisma that it's been a true joy to have him as part of the team. With all the phenomenal qualities he's exhibited over the past three months, I'm excited to see the next steps he takes in his professional career.”
Cayden Moore
AP Specialist, Fortified Property Solutions
“Caden quickly became an important part of the Fortified team this summer. He came in confident, focused, and eager to learn, never hesitating to ask for more responsibility. Even without prior experience, he leaned into new projects, took ownership, and consistently produced positive results.
More importantly, Caden brought a great attitude to the office every day. He was dependable, curious, and willing to step outside of his comfort zone to support the team wherever needed.
We are going to miss having him around the office, but we're equally excited to see him head back to college and continue his education. We have no doubt he has a bright future ahead of him, and if we're lucky, we'll get to welcome him back to Fortified next summer.”
